Thanks to all parents who have registered their children and helped out with coaching. New members always welcome - registration forms available from the coach on the evening. A training course for new coaches will be organised over coming months. Details to be announced when arrangements are in place. U9 HurlingOur U9 hurlers played in the final blitz of the season at LIT on Saturday. A good morning's hurling saw us win 2 of our three matches. The U9s have turned into a fine bunch of hurlers and will do well in the U10s next year. Our squad on the day was Adam Butler, Sean O'Kane, Tom Ryan, Brian O'Donnell, Conor Coughlan, Niall Sweeney, Cillian Toland, Eoghan McCarthy, Finn O'Muiri, Paul Power and Kieran O'Shea U11 CamogieThe U11s completed all their matches in the autumn league with a win against Adare last Sunday week and finished in first position having won 6 out of 7 matches. They continued this good form in the A-competition which took place in terrible conditions on Sunday 1st at Ballybrown GAA. In the semi-final they beat Na-Piarsaigh by 1 goal to nil, after a great solo run and score by Caoimhe Lyons. In the final they played Crecora and put in a great spirited second half but were unable to claw back the half-time lead 0-3 to no score. A late goal by Crecora sealed the win, but it was a tremendous performance and overall league campaign by the girls, the first Monaleen Camogie team to qualify for an A- division county final. U13 CamogieThe U13s also put in a great league campaign by qualifying for the A-competition. On Sat 30th they played a strong Na-Piarsaigh side in the semi-final who put up an early 2-0 to no score lead. Monaleen fought hard to get back in contention and a great second half performance getting 1-3, however were unable to close the margin with Na Piarsaigh eventual winners 4-3 to 1-3.
