Club NotesSeptember 5th 2011Senior NotesLOTTO No.s for last week were 4,5,15,31 with no winner. Next weeks jackpot

Glanntan, G/E McInerney Castlemara, Jenny Morrison Ballysimon. Juvenile Notes The U16 camogie campaign continued on Sunday morning away to Patrickswell.
This was a must win game with the growing injury list increasing
the challenge. Patrickswell started best and led all the way to half time
when the score was 3-1 to 1-2. A point from Aine Hegarty and a goal from
Niamh Doyle midway through the second half gave Monaleen the lead for
the first time and the girls finished strongly to win by 6-5 to
5-1. Aine Hegarty with 3-2 and Caoimhe Lyons 2-2 stood out for Monaleen
but there were great performances in defence from Grainne Fullen and Sinead
O Brien which kept Monaleen in touch when the pressure was on. Monaleen U15 Hurling team started their season with a very entertaining
challenge match with the Clare Co Champions Kilmaley on sat . In a very
high scoring match Monaleen ran out winners on a 7. 14 to 1.13 scoreline
. Next match is at home to Mungret on 12th Sep. Our U13 Footballers won the county final last Saturday against Mungret. A very thigh fought game that ended 2-6 to 2-4. Well done to all involved. Monaleen U8 Hurling weekly training resumes Friday 9th Sept 6.30pm at the clubhouse pitch. The coaches look forward to the return of all last seasons players and also welcome new members who were born in 2003. Jerseys, helmets and hurleys will be on sale in the club shop. |
