Well done to our Junior hurlers who beat Claughaun in the city semi final. It was a tight first half with Monaleen leading by two points, however on a great second half performance Monaleen ran out convincing winners. Strong performances from Simon Griffin, KieranStack and Noel Madden. We now play Mungret in the final.
Our Senior Footballers will play Ballylanders in the quarter final of the county championship in Bruff on Saturday next at 5:15pm. Best of luck to them and all support welcome.

Juvenile Notes

Monaleen U16 hurlers came up against a superb Doon 15 in the Co-semi final on Saturday last in Hospital and unfortunately came out second best on the day. On the day Monaleen had star performances by Ronan Murphy and Cian O'Brien, while all others tried manfully against a very good opposition. Many of these lads will now go on to form a significant spine to the minor hurling team for the next couple of seasons. Well done to all for a very good campaign this year.

Camogie U14
The Under 14 championship has reached the semi-final stages and after two wins from three Monaleen have qualified for a home draw against Patrickswell. Great wins against Adare and Galbally secured their place in the semi - final which will take place in Monaleen on Tuesday 13th at 6.30pm. The girls have been in very impressive form and hopefully they can keep it up and make the final next Sunday. All support welcome!

U10 Football. Our U10 and U9's kicked off the new season with a Blitz at Cloughaun last week. We fielded two teams with over thirty five young Monaleen footballers eager to play. Each team played Claughaun and Palleskenry and all games were quite close and very competitive. Some great skills on display from all teams and the confidence grew as the games progressed. Looking forward to the new season and a number of blitz's will be hosted over the coming months. Thanks to Claughaun for hosting on Friday evening.

Monaleen Underage Gaa Club would like to thank all their Generous Supporters
