Well done to our Senior footballers who had a great win against Fr Caseys in the county semi-final in Kilmallock on Saturday. We played some great football in the first half with a Ger Collins goal helping us to a three point lead. In the second half Fr.Caseys quickly drew back level but our lads inspired by Barry Fitzpatrick and Ritchie Murray eventually ran our winners on a scoreline of 1-10 to 8 points. Others to impress for Monaleen were Donal O' Sullivan, Jack Hoare, Ger Collins, Jason O'Brien and Seamus Hickey. We now play Newcastlewest in the final on October 16th in the Gaelic grounds.
Our Junior hurlers play Mungret in the city final in Claughaun next Saturday at 4:45pm. Best of luck to all involved all support welcome..
