Mini Blitz 25th May, 2008

On Sunday 25th May at 10.45 we hosted a very successful mini-blitz, involving four teams. There was a great turnout of girls from all clubs and everyone had a fantastic morning of sport.

The weather was glorious, which added to the occasion.

County Blitz 10th November, 2007

On Saturday 10th November, 2007, the U8 camogie team took part in the county blitz. This was a very well organised indoor event in Caherconlish.

In all there were 5 games the first against Galbally ended level after some great defending from Aoife McDonnell and Aine Doyle along with Clare Kelly in goal. Having become used to the conditions our second game versus Ballybrown ended in victory with goals from Clare Kelly, Aisling McGrath and Rachel Butler with great support play from Ruth Heavey and Aine Nelligan. Speed and skill were required in these fast moving indoor games. Two more draws followed against local rivals Ahane and Bruff both of which could have easily ended in victory featuring great performances from Georgina Johnson . The final game against Crecora, who were thought to be the strongest side, again ended level following a great team performance again with a great effort in defence from Susan Fullen and Roisin Burke.

So a great day out for all and plenty of hope for the future following some fantastic displays.
